We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Rick Riordan- all the way from Texas! Rick, author of the fabulous 'Percy Jackson' series, gave a brilliantly funny talk to 300 pupils from Reigate Priory School and then later to 120 pupils from The Hawthorns, Bletchingley. Rick's hilarious insights into his early writing career and his inspiration for 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief' were a huge hit with kids and teachers alike. He also talked about his latest book for the 39 Clues series 'The Maze of Bones'. We are certain he has left behind many a budding writer, and as for readers .......well, his books have been flying off the shelves ever since.
