Join one of our Saturday Book Clubs!

A Book Club is the name used for a group of people, who all read the same book and then get together afterwards to talk about it. Book Clubs can be great fun, as you can share what you love (or hate!) about a book, talk about the characters, the author and the plot with others the same age as you. It's all about enjoying books and chatting about them.

At Bookworms, we have 3 groups, each one meeting once a month on a Saturday upstairs in the shop

      Group 1 - Boys age 9-12  - currently reading

'The Crowfield Curse' by Pat Walsh

next meeting 28/02/2010, at 2.30pm

         Group 2 - Girls age 9-11  - currently reading

'The Crowfield Curse' by Pat Walsh

next meeting 06/03/2010 at 2pm

Group 3 - Girls age 12+ - currently reading

'Guantanamo Boy' by Anna Perrera

next meeting 06/03/2010 at 3pm

These groups are not set in stone, however, and should you be a 12 year old girl who loves reading boy fiction, you'd be more than welcome to join Group 1.

Who chooses the books?

Books are chosen by group members from a shortlist supplied by us, and must be bought through Bookworms.

How much will it cost?

Each group member will have to pay for their copy of the book plus 50p per meeting to cover the cost of juice and biscuits.

Do I have to read the books?

Yes! There's no point being a member of the group unless you've read the book everyone's talking about.

How do I join?

First of all check that your parents or guardian are happy for you to join, and then call us or email giving us your name, address, phone number, date of birth and group preference to terry@bookwormsofreigate.co.uk
